Be An Endorsing Agency
To become an endorsing agency an organization must register on the DAW website and be a community service provider, an affilitate of the USBLN, government agency, nonprofit organization, a school or district, or a similar entity that works with, or on behalf of, people with disabilities.
Organizations that receive designation as Disabilities
At Work (DAW) Registered Agencies have the right to endorse businesses
that support people with disabilities. With their knowledge of community
activities, DAW Registered Agents determine whether a local business has
provided support to people with disabilities at a level commensurate with
its size and appropriate to community needs.
DAW Registered Agencies can endorse businesses through a
simple process on DisabilitiesAtWork.org, which generates a letter of
endorsement for the nominated business. This endorsement letter can be
given to the business, acknowledging them for their commitment to people
with disabilities.
Once a business receives the DAW letter of endorsement, it will be entitled to purchase, at cost, the DAW logo
display package, which consists of one or more Disabilities At Work plaque(s), logo for its website, door/window decals, and point-of-contact
signs.
Each of the items in the Disabilities At Work display
package prominently showcases the Disabilities At Work logo, a highly
visible symbol that will indicate to all consumers, but especially those
with disabilities and their friends and families, that the business
supports people with disabilities.
To maintain the right to display the Disabilities At
Work logo, a business must be endorsed by a DAW Registered Agent every
year.
